Route of Synthesis (ROS)
| Conditions | Yield |
| With oxalyl dichloride In dichloromethane; N,N-dimethyl-formamide at 0℃; for 2h; Experimental Procedure 1 Preparation of 1-methylpyrazole-3-carbonyl chloride (23) To a solution of 1-methylpyrazole-3-carboxylic acid (200 mg, 1.59 mmol, 1 eq.) in DCM (2 mL) was added (COCl)2 (241.55 mg, 1.90 mmol, 166.58 μL, 1.2 eq.) and DMF (19.00 mg, 259.94 μmol, 20 μL, 1.64e-1 eq.) at 0 °C. The mixture was stirred at 0 °C for 2 hrs (monitored by TLC). The reaction mixture was then concentrated under reduced pressure to give a residue.1-Methylpyrazole-3-carbonyl chloride ((23), 220 mg, 1.52 mmol, 95.96% yield) was obtained as a yellow oil. | 95.96% |
| With thionyl chloride for 4h; Heating; | 76% |
