Unstable. Reacts violently with water. May detonate under impact. Heat, light and moisture sensitive. May explode if stored in sealed ampules. Highly flammable. Incompatible with aqueous solutions, acids, bases, oxidizing agents, reducing agents. Alkaline hydrolysis releases toxic and explosive gases.
