1,2-alpha-glucosylglycerol phosphorylase EC#: 2.4.1.332; ChemWhat Code: 1377670

Product Name 1,2-alpha-glucosylglycerol phosphorylase
Example Structure Example Structure of 1,2-alpha-glucosylglycerol phosphorylase EC#: 2.4.1.332
Synonyms 2-O-alpha-D-glucopyranosylglycerol phosphorylase, Bsel_2816
EC Number 2.4.1.332
CAS Registry Number
Comments The enzyme has been isolated from the bacterium Bacillus selenitireducens. In the absence of glycerol the enzyme produces ¦Á-D-glucopyranose and phosphate from ¦Â-D-glucopyranose 1-phosphate. In this reaction the glucosyl residue is transferred to a water molecule with an inversion of the anomeric conformation.
