1,3-alpha-oligoglucan phosphorylase EC#: 2.4.1.334; ChemWhat Code: 1377674

Product Name 1,3-alpha-oligoglucan phosphorylase
Example Structure Example Structure of 1,3-alpha-oligoglucan phosphorylase EC#: 2.4.1.334
Synonyms Cphy_3314
EC Number 2.4.1.334
CAS Registry Number
Comments The enzyme, isolated from the bacterium Clostridium phytofermentans, catalyses a reversible reaction. Substrates for the phosphorolytic reaction are ¦Á-1,3-linked oligoglucans with a polymerisation degree of 3 or more. Nigerose (i.e. 3-O-¦Á-D-glucopyranosyl-D-glucopyranose) is not phosphorylyzed but can serve as substrate in the reverse direction (cf. EC 2.4.1.279, nigerose phosphorylase).
Cofactor
History
