Product Name 3,8-divinyl protochlorophyllide a 8-vinyl-reductase (ferredoxin)
Example Structure Example Structure of 3,8-divinyl protochlorophyllide a 8-vinyl-reductase (ferredoxin) EC#: 1.3.7.13
Synonyms 3,8-divinyl chlorophyllide reductase, 8-vinyl reductase, 8V reductase, 8VR, bciB, C8-vinyl reductase, C8-vinyl-reductase, chlorophyllide a oxidoreductase, Ctha_1208, cyano-type divinyl chlorophyllide a 8-vinyl-reductase, DVR, F-DVR, Fd-dependent DVR, ferredoxin-dependent 8-vinyl-protochlorophyllide reductase, frhB, nucleoside-diphosphate-sugar epimerase, PChlide reductase, RSP_3070, Slr1923, Slr1923 potein, SyF-DVR
EC Number 1.3.7.13
CAS Registry Number
Comments The enzyme, found in many phototrophic bacteria, land plants, and some green and red algae, is involved in the production of monovinyl versions of (bacterio)chlorophyll pigments from their divinyl precursors. Binds two [4Fe-4S] clusters and an FAD cofactor. It can also act on 3,8-divinyl chlorophyllide a, 3,8-divinyl chlorophyll a, and chlorophyll c2. cf. EC 1.3.1.75, 3,8-divinyl protochlorophyllide a 8-vinyl-reductase (NADPH).
