In the hyperthermophilic archaeon Pyrococcus horikoshii, the mannosyl-3-phosphoglycerate formed is subsequently dephosphorylated by a specific phosphatase, EC 3.1.3.70 (mannosyl-3-phosphoglycerate phosphatase), producing mannosylglycerate. |
