Mn2+-dependent ADP-ribose/CDP-alcohol diphosphatase EC#: 3.6.1.53; ChemWhat Code: 1381615

Product Name Mn2+-dependent ADP-ribose/CDP-alcohol diphosphatase
Example Structure Example Structure of Mn2+-dependent ADP-ribose/CDP-alcohol diphosphatase EC#: 3.6.1.53
Synonyms ADPRibase-I, ADPRibase-II, ADPRibase-Mn, Adprm, Mn(2+)-dependent ADP-ribose/CDP-alcohol pyrophosphatase, Mn2+-dependent ADP-ribose/CDP-alcohol pyrophosphatase
EC Number 3.6.1.53
CAS Registry Number
Comments Requires Mn2+, which cannot be replaced by Mg2+, for activity. ADP-D-ribose, CDP-choline, CDP-ethanolamine and ADP are substrates for this enzyme but ADP-D-glucose, UDP-D-glucose, CDP-D-glucose, CDP, CMP and AMP are not hydrolysed [2]. In rat, the enzyme is found predominantly in thymus and spleen.
Cofactor Mn2+
History
Reactions (1) CDP-choline + H(2)O = Cmp + phosphocholine. (2) ADP-D-ribose + H(2)O = Amp + D-ribose 5-phosphate.
